Boris Maltsev visited Tomsk Oblast districts

The goal of the Speaker’s visit was preparation for elections in Kozhevnikovsky and Shegarsky Districts

As Boris Maltsev says, it is best to learn about people’s problems from personal contact than from official reports.

He met with the staff of the Central District Hospital of Shegarsky District, answered the workers’ questions on salaries, housing for young employees, reduced utility bills for rural healthcare workers, etc. The Duma Speaker reminded that the healthcare modernization initiative was launched by the United Russia party. For the first time in our country we observe positive changes in salary pools of healthcare institutions, and modern equipment in hospitals.

The visit to Kozhevnikovsky District began with a tour of the facilities of OOO Montazhkomplekt, a local utilities company. Boris Maltsev was satisfied with the company’s performance and made a special point of its work organization methods. At the meetings with the personnel of OOO Montazhkomplekt and Kozhevnikovo Road Construction and Maintenance Department, workers of nurseries and the district library, Boris Maltsev explained his intentions. “We are preparing to consider the next year’s budget. The Oblast deputies will have to distribute about 50 billion rubles, and part of the money will go to municipal entities whose budgets rely on Oblast subsidies to the level of 75%-80%. I want to become aware of the real problems of the district to be able to take them into account when we will be budgeting for 2012.”

Boris Maltsev in his capacity of the chairman of the Oblast Council of United Russia Followers, a member of the political council of the Party’s regional branch, and a responsible coordinator on behalf of the Party of the preparations for elections in Kozhevnikovsky and Shegarsky Districts, emphasized the key point that the districts should seek support of the United Russia deputies if they want to help their communities, since United Russia holds the majority of seats both in the regional and federal parliaments.

Summarizing his visit, Boris Maltsev said,
“That was a very helpful trip. It is one thing when the leader of the community reports to you on the community’s problems and quite another thing when you see the problems and ordinary people’s pain for yourself. That is how right decisions occur.
