September 2, 2010. 30 art pieces from Tomsk sent to China within international event Peace Banner
For two months the Youth Parliament of Tomsk Oblast had been holding street events within the international event “Peace Banner”. Over that period children had drawn over 300 pictures on pieces of blue cloth where they depicted their vision of Peace.
30 best pictures are on their way to Shanghai where, on September 21, a single Russian-Chinese Peace Banner will be sewn up. The rest of the pictures were sewn up into the Peace Banner of Tomsk Oblast 15 meters long. Its presentation will take place on September 5, 2010 in Tomsk. It will be accessible to everyone.
The Peace Banner event also hosts charity fundraising to help children in need of medical surgery organized in cooperation with Alena Petrova Charity Fund.
