Brief Biography
Born in Ilka (village) of Buryat Republic. Higher education: Medical Faculty of Chita State Medical Institute in 1978. 1972 - 1984 was a surgeon and a head of the surgical department of the Central District Hospital (Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky, Chita Oblast). Since 1984 he has worked in Seversk. Since 1993 he has been the head of the department of surgical illnesses of Siberian State Medical University. Since 2000 he has been the professor of the department of general surgery of Siberian State Medical University.

Additional information
He is the honored doctor of the Russian Federation, the honored worker of science of the Russian Federation. He is the author of 13 scientific monographs; has more than 500 scientific articles, more than 40 inventions in the field of gastroenterology.
