May 13, 2010. Tomsk to host the XIIIth Innovation Forum in May

The XIIIth Innovation Forum ‘Innovation Leadership among Regions: Competition for the Future’ will be held May 20-21, 2010.

The Forum will mainly focus on issues regarding influence of leading innovative regions on the entire national innovation system.

The following topics will be discussed.
  • Requirements to a leading innovative region
  • Implementation of new large-scale projects on creation of cities of the future
  • Definition of terms and principles for efficient functioning of an innovation system
  • Creation of educational centers, organization of world competitive R&D activity
  • Creation of R&D centers as tools for implementation of high technology policies of public and private companies
  • Innovations and environment; minimizing the environmental impact of innovative development.
The XIIIth Tomsk Innovation Forum is organized by the Tomsk Oblast Administration and the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation.
