The Legislative Duma of Tomsk Oblast
09.06.09 Sergey Kuznetsov, Chief of Staff of the Tomsk Oblast State Duma, took part in the meeting of the Coordination Council of Chiefs of Staff
of Public Legislative Authorities of the Russian Federation
 The meeting took place on June 3-5 in Belokurikha, Altai Territory. The Council gathered representatives of more than 50 regional legislative assemblies. The event was organized by the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
The plenary session was devoted to regulatory, information and analytics framework for the activity of legislative authorities in Russia. Presentations on the subject were made by Aleksey Sigutkin, Chief of Staff of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and Vladimir Svinarev, Chief of Staff of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. They both co-chair the Presidium of the Coordination Council.
Mr. Kuznetsov in his report put much emphasis on the practice of handling legislative initiatives of regional parliaments in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The Chief of Staff of the State Duma of the Russian Federation expressed his appreciation to Mr. Kuznetsov for a significant contribution to the development of legislative activity in Russia and invigoration of relations between the legislative body of the RF constituent entity and the State Duma.
